The chemical pointer file contains the structure, name, and important pointers for over 25,000 chemical substances. The pointers indicate if the chemical is:
- On the EPA's List of Lists
- SARA Section 313 Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) chemicals, SARA Section 302 Extremely Hazardous chemicals, CERCLA RQ chemicals, or RCRA RQ chemicals
- On the TSCA Inventory
- In the National Library of Medicine's Hazardous Substances Data Bank
- In the individual files of SRC's EFDB
- In the proprietary SRC database FATE/EXPOS
- In the Pomona College MEDCHEM data base of octanol/water partition coefficients
- In the ARIZONA Database of water solubility values from Samuel Yalkowsky at the University of Arizona
With this Chemical Pointer File and the ISISBase software, users can perform substructure or name fragment searches with the whole file or any subset (i.e., only the TRI chemicals).
