Top 20 Best Companies to Work for in New York
SRC and SRCTec have been named one of top 20 “Best Companies to Work for in New York” for 2009, in the large company category, by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group. This awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New York, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. Last year, we received this same recognition as one of the Top 10 “Best Companies to Work for in New York.” SHRM also presented SRC with the Donlon Award for family-friendly workplace in 2005 and 2006.

In 2009, SRC was named to the San Antonio Express-News’ Top Workplaces Program, recognizing leading companies in the San Antonio metro area. Of more than 100 companies considered, SRC was ranked the 10th Top Workplace in the city.

SRC was named to the top 10 Best Employers of Ohio list in 2010 in the small company category by the Ohio Society of Human Resource Management State Council. This award identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Ohio, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification
SRC has achieved certification as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction by the U.S. Green Building Council. The company’s headquarters – a 121,000 square foot facility, located in North Syracuse, N.Y. – has the capability to self-sustain for up to 24-hours; utilizes advanced lighting technology and energy efficient heating and cooling systems; and much more. SRC expects to be within the national average savings range for environmentally-friendly construction of $50-$65 per square foot throughout the initial 20-years of the new building’s operations. Additionally, SRC qualified for energy conservation credits from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Award
SRCTec received the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Award in 2009. Additionally, SRC and SRCTec together were recognized with the Community Involvement Achievement Award for their efforts throughout Central New York and beyond. The Award is given to companies that excel in growth, staying power, workplace innovation and commitment to the community.
Tech Company of the Year Award
In 2009, SRC was recognized as the Tech Company of the Year by the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (Annapolis, Md.). The Tech Company of the Year Award is given to a company that has achieved significant milestones in the past year and demonstrates itself as a recognized force in the local technology community in the Annapolis, Washington and Baltimore areas.
Continuing Technical Excellence Award
In 2008, SRC was named the Technology Company of the Year by the Technology Alliance of Central New York. Additionally, SRC’s Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare, or it's CREW Duke system, along with SRC and Lockheed Martin’s Multi-Mission Radar/EQ-36 were selected as Technology Projects of the Year in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Previously, SRC had garnered the Continuing Technical Excellence award from TACNY, an award specially created to recognize our continuing technical leadership and growth in Central New York. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, we were named Technology Company of the Year.
James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award
SRC has been recognized for extraordinary performance in the National Industrial Security Program by winning the Cogswell award numerous times. This prestigious award is given to less than 1 percent of the 12,000-plus contractors involved in protecting national security. Not only did our corporate headquarters in Syracuse receive the award six times — most recently in 2006, our San Antonio office was also honored with the award twice. Staffed by professionals who are experts in protecting classified material and special access programs, SRC has securely handled sensitive business and government information for numerous programs and customers.
Army’s Top 10 Inventions Award
The LCMR™ system, SRC's lightweight counter-mortar radar, which was co-developed with the U.S. Army and is manufactured at SRCTec, received the Army’s Top 10 Inventions Award in 2004. SRC’s first-generation CREW Duke system — Countermeasure Protection System — received the same award in 2005. The award distinguishes best technological solutions for soldiers, and how these new technologies increase convenience and competence for the U.S. Army.
